So, last Saturday night, my Dad, Shellie and Carlie came over to watch Lia for the afteroon while we went and checked in to our room at the Hyatt downtown and enjoyed a parent's night out... the WHOLE night. I was super nervous to leave Lia for a whole night. Not nervous so much for her as I knew she would be in great hands and she got to stay at her own house, but more nervous for myself. Ha! Of course, it went great... my Dad sent me tons of pictures and video to keep me "linked" to her and Lia had an absolute blast putting on "The Lia Show" for them all night.
We had a beautiful west facing room up high at the Hyatt. The view was amazing. We had great views of the gorgeous Rocky Mountains and the buildings downtown and we could also see Invesco field, which was our destination for the evening. My Dad finally got off the waitlist this year made the Broncos season ticket holder list. He gave up the game tickets for this game so that we could have a little date night.

We went to Pat's for some declicious cheesesteaks and headed to the game on the Broncos Bus. Here we are riding the bus and arriving at the game and enjoying the view. The Broncos lost, but we had a great time none the less.
After the game, we headed back downtown, went and changed and decided we would go bowling at Lucky Strike. I was so excited, but didn't realize you need reservations on a Saturday night or else there was a 2 hour wait! Forget that. We walked around a bit downtown, then ended up getting a milkshake and people watching on 16th street mall. We were exhausted by 11:30 and called it a night. It is hard to keep partying as a parent!! We still had a great time and got some great sleep! Sunday morning we had breakfast at the hotel and headed home to see our baby. I sure missed her but from all the photos Shellie took, you can tell she had a great time with them!

Sunday we went over to the Mason's to go spend the afternoon swimming. The pool was FREEZING but I braved it to get in with Lia. She had an ok time in the water, but she had more fun out of the pool playing with a buckle on a portable high chair. GO figure. It was a nice, relaxing afternoon and great way to unwind after a busy weekend.
Today we are getting ready for another night downtown courtesy of the Masons. Staying at the Oxford which is where our wedding reception was 3 years ago... should be fun night. Eric and Elizabeth are sleeping over to watch Lia tonight so that we can enjoy! More to come for next week's blog

PS we got some sad news this week. Lia's bff (Brendan at daycare) had a spot open up at the next daycare he was headed for when he turns 2 so they are starting him early. Only 1 more month till he goes away from Judy's. I am so sad!! Lia (and myself of course) loves him so much! They have such a unique bond and are amazing together! We will miss him like crazy! Time to plan some playdates.
